Inventory Control Associate I

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for the movement and proper storage of materials, as well as the accuracy of the inventory and transactions within the inventory system. This position works within the MRP system to ensure the availability of materials for all Work Orders. The Inventory Control Associate will follow all inventory processes and procedures with an emphasis on safety, accuracy, and continuous workflow. In addition, this person will be required to participate in all physical inventory activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
- Demonstrates a good level of understanding of the inventory system in GP
- Demonstrates the ability to research inaccuracies within the inventory
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently and achieve a standard level of work volume and accuracy
- Participates in all cycle counts in their assigned inventory areas
- Responsible for the integrity of the system inventory data for their assigned areas of responsibility
- Responsible to maintain records as required by the quality system
- Trusted to identify and communicate material issues and shortages that may disrupt production activities
- Responsible for the organization and cleanliness of their assigned inventory areas

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in related field
- Computer/data entry skills
- Good organizational and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented and able to multi-task
- Ensures professional interactions with customers and employees
- Seeks out opportunities to learn new skills and acquire information
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous Inventory or Warehouse experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of cGMP and ISO standards
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand as required
- Ability to occasionally bend and push/pull
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
