What Impact You Can Make

Responsible for providing clinicians with technical expertise on the proper set-up and use of our devices as well as provide “best practices” from leading physicians/centers on preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative considerations for the associated procedures. The Procedural Specialist will also work with others within the Professional Education organization to execute individualized physician training plans under the direction of the Clinical Area Manager.

  • Administer individual training and mentoring programs on the Company’s product(s) for interested physicians, including highly technical training performed within the operating room, both domestically and internationally.
  • Organize and present regional training sessions and labs for interested physicians.
  • Develop and assist with technical training to new sales associates and other internal personnel.
  • Cultivate in-depth physician relationships to support clinical education objectives.
  • Maintain expertise and knowledge in relation to Company products and procedures, as well as current literature, key clinical papers, and trends in the industry. Ensure any relevant medical certifications and licensing are kept up to date.
  • Works with internal personnel to ensure all documentation related to physician training is properly completed and submitted for the Company’s internal records system.
  • May assist in the implementation and execution of clinical trials, including site training activities. Ensures all required documentation related to the clinical trial is completed in an accurate, timely, and thorough manner.
  • Responsible for satisfying the requirements for hospital account and credentialing processes

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • 5+ years in the medical device industry and/or relevant clinical experience
  • A documented track record of successful sales quota achievement
  • Strong clinical and technical aptitude with preferred experience in cardiac procedures with Atrial Fibrillation and left atrial appendage management.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
  • A thorough working knowledge of hospital policies and stakeholders and a demonstrated ability to collaborate and engage with all levels of hospital staff.
  • Ability to work effectively and diplomatically with internal personnel to execute Company strategy, including senior management and sales personnel.
  • Problem-solving / trouble-shooting skills
  • Ability to travel with up to 75% national travel.
  • Ability to pass account and hospital credentialing processes.
