Director, Associate General Counsel

🌍 About the Role
AtriCure is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director, General Counsel to join our global legal team. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality legal solutions across departments and international entities, supporting a fast-paced and innovative medical device company.
You’ll lead complex legal matters, manage international contracts, and advise senior leaders on regulatory, employment, and governance issues. This is a unique opportunity to shape legal strategy, drive compliance, and support global growth.
💼 What You’ll Do
- Lead international contracting across all AtriCure entities
- Negotiate complex contracts, especially in healthcare, research, and grants
- Develop and maintain contract templates and lifecycle management processes
- Advise senior managers on legal matters, regulatory changes, and policy alignment
- Manage outside counsel and potentially oversee internal legal personnel
- Provide broad legal support to assigned business units or international subsidiaries
- Stay current on global legislation impacting the business
- Support strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives
🎯 What We’re Looking For
- A degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law
- 10+ years of progressive legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Proven expertise in healthcare-related contracts and international legal matters
- Strong judgment, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
