Therapy Development Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY
The Therapy Development Specialist is responsible for supporting a broad range of activities, including direct sales responsibilities to customers, clinical support of product usage in operating theatres, running therapy development related activities such as identification of target centers for therapies, running training and education programs, monitoring therapy adoption and adjust course, when and if necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
This role consists of three pillars – Sales, Clinical Support and Therapy Development. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and achievement in all three areas.
Sales:
Achieve/exceed quarterly and annual sales targets by conducting sales engagement and products conversions. Active selling in the operating room environment, in-room sales calls to surgeons and other clinicians, and advanced clinical support of products in the OR
Clinical Support/Case Coverage:
- A critical success factor for this role and key to gaining trust and confidence our customers
- Will require approximately 40% of the time in the operating theatre assisting surgeons with case support
Therapy Development:
Following the ‘Awareness, Trial, Repeat’ model of therapy development process, this role is responsible for targeting customers/centers for therapy development, supporting training leading up to the first cases, monitoring therapy adoption and taking actions for successful practice building
Other Responsibilities:
- Support both regional and on the ground marketing and professional education programs, including working with course faculty, and communicating with the field and management on course status and results.
- Oversee that all administrative tasks and paperwork is completed and in compliance with all company policies and external reporting requirements.
- Communication on frequent basis, reporting on case notes and product and clinical feedback.
- Completion of ad hoc tasks on request, that contribute to the smooth cadence of the business.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education
- Educated to at least degree level in a scientific or medical area
- MBA or other graduate degree preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of Cardiovascular industry experience, 5+ years of experience preferred.
- Experience working in an Operating Room, Electrophysiology (EP) Lab or Cath Lab either in an industry or clinical role.
- Experience interacting with clinical faculty and senior sales management.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with people across all levels.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. The candidate must enjoy and excel at personal relationship-building.
- This position requires teamwork and partnership with the Country Manager and the rest of the ANZ team.
Other requirements:
- Living in Australia or New Zealand is preferred.
