What Impact You Can Make

This role is responsible for advancing field sales efforts through clinical expertise, education, and strategic market development within Cardiac Surgery and Electrophysiology (EP) environments, including operating rooms, EP labs, cath labs, and associated care settings. The CAS/HCS serves as a critical clinical and commercial partner, working in close alignment with Cardiac Sales Managers and/or Hybrid Therapies Sales Managers, and Professional Education teams to drive adoption, optimize outcomes, and expand market presence. This individual plays a key role in account development by acting as a trusted resource to field sales, sales leadership, physicians, surgeons, and other health care providers.

  • Deliver comprehensive clinical and procedural support, including consistent surgical case coverage across cardiac ORs, EP labs, and cath labs.
  • Partner closely with Cardiac Sales Managers and/or Hybrid Therapies Sales Managers and sales leadership to execute strategic account plans, identify growth opportunities, and support business development initiatives.
  • Lead and support educational efforts for physicians, surgeons, and OR staff through formal presentations, hands-on training labs, and real-time procedural guidance.
  • Train surgical and OR personnel on the safe and effective use of company technologies, including system setup, troubleshooting, and intraoperative support.
  • Provide expert intraoperative assistance during live cases, ensuring optimal device utilization and clinical outcomes.
  • Engage key stakeholders including surgeons, physicians, and allied health professionals through in-person meetings and virtual interactions to advance clinical adoption and program development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Professional Education to develop and execute strategies that drive market growth and innovation.
  • Support and expand market development initiatives related to cardiac surgery ablation and left atrial appendage management procedures.
  • Provide patient follow-up and clinical support as requested by healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely communication by documenting case activity, product feedback, and clinical insights to inform ongoing improvements and strategy.

What You Bring

  • Undergraduate degree in a technical or scientific field or equivalent in experience
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a surgical or lab environment preferred (industry or clinical setting); prefer cardiac surgery, IC or EP setting
  • Ability to consistently deliver high-quality performance in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical environment
  • Strong decision-making skills, critical thinking, and sound clinical judgment
  • Manage effectively multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and foster strong working relationships
  • Proactively take initiative and assume additional responsibilities as needed
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across all levels, including APP staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to travel 75-80%, depending on territory
  • Must pass all hospital and account credentialing requirements
