Location Overview:

The Team:

The EMEA Compliance and Operational Risk Team is responsible for the second-line Compliance and Operational Risk coverage. The team operates in a technically complex, fast-changing and dynamic environment with an excellent culture of growth, learning and development. By joining this team, you will get exposure to colleagues and senior managers in Technology, Risk, and Audit, both within the region and globally.

Role Description:

An opportunity has arisen for a Compliance & Operational Risk Manager to join the Compliance & Operational Risk (COR) team, primarily responsible for independent oversight of Bank of America's Global Technology, Global Information Security and Vendor (including inter-affiliate services) Management functions in Paris, and Bank Of America Securities Europe (BofASE).

You will be responsible for providing 2nd line Compliance & Operational Risk coverage for our local functions, as well as augmenting the broader EMEA risk and compliance group responsible for overseeing Technology and Global Information Security across the broader EMEA region

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and leading control testing, targeted risk assessments, and monitoring activities;

  • Independent review & challenge of legal entity Risk Self Assessments with respect to Technology, cyber, vendor and cross-bank inter-affiliate services risk;

  • Identification of material issues arising from Monitoring, Assessment & Testing activities, and ongoing oversight;

  • Periodic review of the firm’s policies relating to Technology and applicability to European entities;

  • Review & challenge of the annual Technology scenario analyses;

  • Effective review of French and European regulatory developments and legislations impacting Technology, interpretation of changes, with communication and education provision to relevant staff on regulatory developments; and

  • Reviewing impact of Global Technology developments, risks and issues with respect to local legal entity, BofASE, as well as the broader EMEA region.

What we are looking for:

  • Extensive experience in first, second or third line risk

  • A flexible and solution driven perspective, and a determination and desire to find answers to complex issues

  • Willingness to learn beyond the task or job at hand

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently

  • Fluent English speaker

Skills that will help:

  • French fluency

  • CISA, CISM, or other relevant certification
