The Team:

Merchant Portfolio Officer's are part of an organization that provides support to the front line sales team on various sales related activities including cross sales and renewals as well as partnering across the broader organization with key Treasury and Banking partners to drive client experience, solutions and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

The Merchant Portfolio Officer (MPO) is responsible for

  • Strategic client management

  • Deepening existing merchant relationships for driving client satisfaction.

  • Identifying and advising Merchant Services clients on program/platform optimisation

  • Help clients manage their total cost of payment acceptance.

  • Primary escalation point for clients in their assigned portfolio and identifying, analysing and resolving client issues.

What we are looking for:

  • Consultative Merchant Services Portfolio Management or Sales experience

  • Core Acquiring (Credit/Debit) industry experience

  • 5+ years of merchant portfolio management experience

  • Considerable knowledge of POS (integrated/standalone) payment interfaces

  • Ample analytical and organizational skills

Skills that will help:

  • Ability to cultivate and strengthen client relationships with senior business executives and IT staff members

  • Understanding of payment applications, merchant services industry applications, accounting systems, competition/competitive landscape in the payments industry, enterprise resource planning systems (ERP), data security (PCI), file formatting and data transmissions

  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision toward the achievement of personal and team goals.

  • Demonstrated effective communication skills, including written, oral and presentation skills.
