RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct research and analysis to improve understanding and assessment of loan portfolios, models used, and forecast results.

  • Develop, maintain, and execute forecasting models, quantitative methods, assumptions utilized in loss forecasting.

  • Analyze large and complex datasets, and automate the process of data processing and feature engineering for analytical and modelling datasets.

  • Identify and organize strategic change efforts across the forecasting team including new model deployment and analytical capability development.

  • Complete the deployment of new analytic models, including comprehensive use-case planning, tactical build-out of required management information to aid in understanding model performance, and creation of thorough testing plans.

  • Perform quantitative research by utilizing advanced machine learning techniques to support risk identification and loss forecasting.

  • Use Python, R, and SAS to conduct quantitative analysis, estimate model performance, and aggregate the model results for different use cases.

  • Function in a complex data environment and analyze large datasets across systems to reconciliate different results, validate system feeds, and generate reliable data source.

  • Utilize JIRA and Git to collaborate across various teams to identify and resolve model and reporting issues, track progress, and conduct version control.

  • Produce technical reports of publication quality with comprehensive risk coverage to support internal reviews and assess with stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or related; and

  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related quantitative occupation.

  • Must include 2 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Performing quantitative research by utilizing advanced machine learning techniques to support risk identification and loss forecasting;

  • Using Python, R, and SAS to conduct quantitative analysis, estimate model performance, and aggregate the model results for different use cases;

  • Functioning in a complex data environment and analyzing large datasets across systems to reconciliate different results, validate system feeds, and generate reliable data source;

  • Utilizing JIRA and Git to collaborate across various teams to identify and resolve model and reporting issues, track progress, and conduct version control; and,

  • Producing technical reports of publication quality with comprehensive risk coverage to support internal reviews and assess with stakeholders.
