Role Overview
Transactional FX (TFX) is an integral part of Bank of America’s Global Payment Solutions (GPS) capabilities and its Specialised Product Solutions team. An important component of the GPS Payments and Receipts capabilities, together they form part of the client’s payment efficiency and treasury cash management strategy. TFX payment marketing and sales forms a large proportion of the opportunities to be managed.
You will be key in the development of business and sales, developing leads and closing deals.
We are seeking an experienced and proven product specialist that embodies a sales leader with a proven track record of execution success with strong TFX Payments experience gathered either from the buy or sell side, or ideally both.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a GPS Product Specialist, you will be responsible for partnering with GPS Sales, client coverage and Global Markets division to continue to grow GPS and TFX revenue.
Executing product sales strategies across lines of business and regions inclusive of direct deal support, prospecting and on-going sales and coverage education.
Work with globally based sales, product managers, bankers and Global Markets partners to promote TFX capabilities and drive opportunities to close.
Participate in and driving industry dialogue on pertinent FX payment topics to ensure Bank of America and our clients’ interests are appropriately represented.
Lead/participate in meetings with prospects/clients. Work directly with top prospects to understand their GPS and TFX needs. Provide consultative sales approach to identifying client needs/objectives for cross-currency payments and cash management needs.
Cross-sell existing treasury and FX advisory clients the suite of products within CashPro Foreign Exchange Services.
Oversee pipeline activity of Treasury Sales team in your territory; follow up on key deals and opportunities.
Keep abreast of market developments, technology and capabilities. Maintain knowledge of competitor capabilities.
Educating internal partners to help sell and educating existing clients on the GPS product suite through meetings and system demonstrations will be a fundamental part of the team’s strategy to win business and generate revenue.
What we are looking for
Display strong knowledge of the GPS business and be conversant in payment services across a broad range of industry sectors to become a trusted advisor to our clients.
Experience in a transaction bank where a greater understanding of client treasury management has been developed through direct client interaction.
Demonstrated fluency across FX Payment Services including; trading channels, treasury & cash management systems, Electronic Communication Networks (ECN), etc.
Exhibit a breadth of understanding of the business challenges facing the bank’s clients, as they relate to cross border payments and FX. An ability to translate this knowledge into smart business decisions and a robust sales pipeline and process that deepens client relationships and increases market share and wallet penetration.
Strong grasp of critical principles of risk management, compliance and fraud.
Proven track record of executing on revenue growth plans within a highly complex, matrixed organization; a sense of urgency and tenacity in exceeding revenue goals that are delivered in a deliberate, inclusive, organized manner.
Analytical skills sufficient to identify trends/opportunities within financial/market data and to locate/interpret competitive information.
Highly motivated and tenacious; perseverant and resilient in pursuing objectives and overcoming challenges.
A strategic, logical and clear thinker able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
