Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starters Treasury Sales Officer (TSO). The candidate is responsible for managing and actively pursuing treasury revenue streams and product penetration across Financial Institutions & Non-Bank Financial Institution clients. The TSO works closely with Corporate Banking, other Sales colleagues as well as key Product Management partners (including cash management, FX, commercial card, trade finance and liquidity) to identify solutions that best suit our client’s needs. This individual will have daily face-to-face or phone interactions with their existing clients and prospects. The TSO is accountable for revenue growth, client calling activities, portfolio development, pricing, RFP or RFI responses, call preparations, and leading client-facing presentations.

Job Description Responsibilities

  • New sales wins, revenue growth and retention within a predefined portfolio of Financial Institutions clients (Banks & Non-Banks FI)
  • Pro-active approach to sales, response to RFPs (request for proposal), sending unsolicited proposals, lead client engagement and pitches/presentations
  • Move the relationship bar within the defined target market 1) Prospective, 2) Pitched and bid, 3) mandate and committed to, 4) closed to ultimately as, 5) strategic advisor.
  • Constantly review client names to ensure that the names achieve and maintain hurdle profitability levels
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and sales effectiveness together with customer service and fulfillment team
  • Partner with corporate and investment banking, global markets partners to prepare and maintain account plans for key clients and establish a disciplined process for review and action against the plans, optimizing internal processes and owning and supporting the total client experience
  • Establish a working line with credit/risk (in consultation with corporate banking) for strategic credit requirements (both country and client level)
  • Proactive member of the global team assigned to our clients and segment strategy
  • Other qualitative areas include ensuring full compliance and discipline on governance and control processes and alignment including compulsory training, KYC requirements, pricing and deals reviews with respect to clients, market and product requirements.
  • Grow the franchise in the market/country through thought leadership initiatives and other client engagement activities to grow market share and provide consistent strategy in the market.
  • Manage and support the development of team resources, including Treasury Sales Analysts (TSA)

Requirements

  • Successful history of direct treasury management experience within the FIG sector and/or treasury management sales (including but not limited to, cash management, liquidity strategies, commercial cards, foreign exchange, working capital and trade)
  • Experience in covering Southeast Asia Markets is advantageous
  • Proven track record in managing complex cash and trade deals for FIG clients
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and an Asian language
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong inter-personal and organizational skills
  • Able to successfully develop and maintain collaborative working relationships
  • Strong financial skills
  • Strong client engagement skills with an unwavering focus on client satisfaction and growing business
  • A strong team player who understands how to leverage various businesses functions/partners to drive business growth and support the US client management and sales teams
