The Team:
Global Regulatory Reporting (GRR) is responsible for delivering accurate and well controlled Regulatory reporting to regulators across EMEA. Part of a global team with European hubs in London, Dublin and Paris and off shore support from India.
The role sits within the Transformation and Conformance team within Global Regulatory Reporting the team is responsible for driving Operating model Transformation, Operational Readiness for any new regulatory requirement and any remediation efforts for self identified or Audit identified issues.
The successful candidate will join the Global Regulatory Reporting team in London as part of the Transformation and Conformance team, working on a major initiative to enhance the Operating Model and increase automation throughout the production process to strengthen accuracy and ensure the processes are well controlled.
This team provides a critical link between the change and IT functions and the business stakeholders to ensure the transformation being delivered is what the users require and moves the organisation forward.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a significant business transformation across operating model, process improvement and automation as part of a wider transformation initiative
The individual will need to provide thought leadership to the Report owners to identify and drive process redesign within their reporting teams
The individual will need to lead the review and challenge of current processes in collaboration with report owners to identify transformational re-design
The role will require both extensive project management experience and proven experience at working in a variety of roles within Financial services across Finance, Operations or Risk Management
The individual will need to demonstrate the skills required to deliver a complex and multi-faceted project end to end
The candidate will be responsible for both medium/long term project planning, as well as day-to-day task tracking and monitoring of risks, issues and dependencies to ensure momentum is achieved and sustained
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has demonstrable experience on large-scale op model, process or data transformations to manage and deliver a significant and high profile initiative
Essential Competencies
Extensive experience working across multiple areas within Financial Services, Finance, Risk Management or Operations
Proven experience in providing thought leadership on process redesign
Excellent project management experience structuring and delivering complex initiatives
Extensive experience within an off shoring operating model
Confident written and verbal communication skills
Collaborative team player with clear examples of working across teams and positively influencing other areas not under their direct reporting lines
Ability to positively drive work forward and create a dynamic team environment
Structured approach to defining, executing and evidencing deliverables
Ability to operate within a global environment working with stakeholders from multiple locations and time zones
Experience in identifying and managing the risks, issues and dependencies inherent in delivering complex regulatory change
Previous experience of implementing complex regulatory change programmes into business as usual (BAU) reporting environments (E.G. FRTB, Basel 3.1, FinRep, Ana Credit)
Prior experience working within Agile methodologies / frameworks
Desirable Competencies:
Previous experience within a reporting role which drives a detailed understanding of the challenges faced by business as usual (BAU) teams
Understanding of high profile regulations (FinRep, CoRep, AnaCredit etc)
Experience of working within challenging and dynamic organisational contexts
