Role Description
The Global Banking and Global Markets (GBGM) Finance Change Team is part of the COO & Governance Organisation within Bank of America. The team partners with and delivers change within the GBGM Finance organisation to Data, Process, and Technology Strategy and Solutions.
This individual’s focus within Finance Transformation will primarily sit within regulatory & strategic initiatives. This is a high priority strategic role to help execute the Finance Transformation agenda, with responsibility for end‑to‑end project delivery for business readiness and technology changes. The role will partner with global stakeholders in Finance and, as appropriate, in other parts of the business, covering business analysis, testing, regulatory operations change, and control framework uplift.
This is a high‑profile role sitting across different areas of Finance, Change, Operations and Technology teams and requires a blend of project management experience, excellent communication skills, strong data skills and a high degree of adaptability.
Responsibilities
This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of projects which enhance Finance systems and solutions across several lines of business (LOB) including Global Markets, Global Banking, Chief Financial Officer (Finance) Data Office. Responsibilities span the lifecycle of delivery with specific alignment to requirements within Finance and related Analytical and Regulatory functions, including the delivery of both major project activities and smaller continuous improvement initiatives.
You will:
- Partner with teams accountable for delivery of change within Finance
- Participate in cross‑functional working groups with alignment to delivery plans
- Support the business owner to define requirements, validate delivery with business partners and ensure timely implementation
- Lead the assessment of business impacts of change including financial solutions and processes with scope of responsibility
- Ensure the Finance Change Governance framework operates effectively
- Align to strategic Finance Change outcome requirements
- Manage resource plans and deliverables, highlighting potential risk areas
- Create and maintain detailed project documentation
- Actively mitigate risks and dependencies for both medium‑term project goals as well as day‑to‑day tasks
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders through clear messaging and presentations
- Work in alignment with wider regulatory and strategic programmes and established Agile framework
- Support complex cross‑functional initiatives and operate across several strategic pillars
