Global Technology & Operations – Swaps Technology
The swaps platform is a global equity swap management tool. Features include Trade Capture and Amendments, Corporate Action and Trade Event Lifecycle Management, Stock Loan Desk Integration, Pre-trade checks, Client Position and Trade Reporting, Trade Grouping and Pair-Off Processing Support for Client Strategies. There is also support for Give Ups, High Touch and Direct Market Access (DMA) trade capture flows.
Job Description
The role will give the prospective hire an opportunity to be exposed to a front office trading environment and experience how trading technology works on the front lines. The swaps team operates with an Agile/Scrum methodology and students will become integrated in the day-to-day development life cycle. Students will be given the opportunity to occupy new roles on the team and develop their abilities.
The prospective candidate will have the chance to work on a C# UI as well as Java and Scala servers. Co-ops on the swaps team are always treated as full team members and are always encouraged to prove themselves as professional developers.
Responsibilities
- Learn and understand the business elements involved in our application and apply this knowledge to create smart and complete design solutions.
- Analyze each development task and provide design, unit/integration testing, and implementation of solution.
- Implement, monitor, and suggest ways to enhance our continuous integration process.
- Produce documentation of functionality to gain a deeper understanding of our technology and our business.
Requirements
- Candidates are required to be pursuing a Bachelor’s from an accredited university with a graduation timeframe between November 2026 and July 2027
- Solid experience with writing code in a modern language such as Java, C#, Javascript.
- Ability to learn and work productively within an established code base and analyze existing code.
- Willingness to learn new technologies (C#, Scala, Java, etc).
- An interest in writing integration tests, unit tests, and maintaining a clean code base.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
