Process Overview

We are looking for an experienced associate to support the regulatory reporting report preparation. The role has a regional reach with many of the deliverables requiring regional collaboration across multiple lines of business and asset classes. The purpose of the team is to drive delivery of migration from multiple countries .

Job Description

The role involves performing regulatory report preparation of the APAC Non-Financial Regulatory Reports (NFRR) and also assess the Completeness, Accuracy and Timeliness (CAT)) of the reports, coupled with avoidance of the risk of potential reporting errors which could result in regulatory fines and reputational risk.

Responsibilities

Migrate regulatory report preparation from multiple countries Assess the overall design and operational effectiveness of the existing report production process. Partner with front line units to manage and execute a thorough validation check on their regulatory reports and controls environment utilizing NFRR processes, tools and templates Develop and maintain relationships with Business, Operations, Technology, Audit, Compliance and other Control groups and Stakeholders to understand processes and risks Understand the end-to-end flow of key processes Remain current on the regulatory reporting landscape to ensure the firm’s reporting control procedures remain in sync with changes in regulatory environment Ensure documentation is being maintained in accordance with the enterprise policy, processes and standards Take ownership for managing risk well and be proactive in identifying and controlling risks, issues and concern, and escalate timely Track and highlight issues, gaps, concerns and process failures for remediation Developing and producing metrics and analytics on regulatory reporting Drive Operational Excellence by consistently striving to achieve responsible growth Interactions with various stakeholders, including senior management Training and on-boarding of new hires Execute all the process related to administrative tasks, and any ad-hoc duties assigned by manager

Requirements

Education

Undergraduate / MBA degree with major in banking, finance or data analytics

Experience Range

9 to 12 years of overall experience with at least 12 months of Regulatory Reporting experience

Foundational skills

Experience of regulatory reporting processes – ideally involving report preparation and migration

Relevant experience in banking, operations, business controls or risk management, internal audit or compliance testing

Understanding of Banking & Markets products, services, and platforms Experience in analyzing and documenting business processes, and developing solution Attention to detail and delivering high quality output

Desired Skills

Ability to read / write in Mandarin / Japanese / Korean / Bahasa / Thai highly sort.

Proven relationship management / engagement skills and ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with different audiences across the APAC region Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, plus knowledge of VB script

Ability to work within a team environment and to adhere to strict deadlines

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to demonstrate decisiveness and sound sense of judgment -- knowing when to escalate
