Process Overview*
This role is part of Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT) – Test Development, The Develop and Maintain Test and Sampling Elements process provides Global Risk and Compliance (“GCOR”) and Front Line Unit / Control Function (“FLU/CF”) partners with an efficient end-to-end process for obtaining new tests and updating existing tests to meet risk mitigation requirements. The process starts with the assignment of a Master Intake (“MI”) request for test and sample development (or for revisions to an existing test). Development path and Service Level Agreements (“SLA”) are based on difficulty (classified as “Simple”, “Standard”, or “Complex”). Key steps include an analysis of test objective, data source(s), and scope; test development, pilot, and Quality Assurance (“QA”); and Test Owner / Test Owner Representative (“TO/TOR”) engagement and final approval. The process ends when the Test Script and testing system of record have been moved into production and delivered to Test Execution (“TE”).
Job Description*
The Test Development role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive test procedures to evaluate control effectiveness.
The role requires collaboration with stakeholders to translate business, regulatory, and process requirements into structured, repeatable test scripts, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and consistency of testing outcomes. The role operates within a structured Test Development Life Cycle (TDLC) framework, ensuring all development activities are executed, tracked, and governed through a centralized system of record, including milestone tracking, documentation, and status reporting.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and hands-on experience in test development, test execution, and QA/QC practices.
Responsibilities*
- Design and develop test procedures and scripts aligned to EIT standards
- Translate business and control requirements into structured, repeatable test scenarios
- Execute activities across the end-to-end Test Development Life Cycle (TDLC)
- Ensure all development activities are accurately tracked in the system of record, with timely status updates and progression
- Prepare and maintain attestation evidence and deliverables, ensuring alignment to defined acceptance criteria prior to closure
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Test Execution, QA, and Risk teams to ensure seamless workflow progression
- Identify, document, and escalate defects, control gaps, and process issues
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), testing standards, and quality benchmarks
- Adhere to defined SLAs, timelines, and quality benchmarks
- Contribute to continuous improvement and testing transformation initiatives
Requirements*
- Demonstrated project management skills; Ability to handle multiple competing priorities with demonstrated success at achieving SLA (Service Level Agreements)
- Ability to think independently, solve complex problems, and develop integrated solutions
- Proficiency with MS Office suite with an emphasis on Excel to perform data analytics, pivot tables, lookups and data analytics
- Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills
- Strong partnership and influencing skills
- Ability to translate business objectives to comprehensive test requirements
- Strong familiarity with sampling business requirements and test design
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and presentation skills
- 2+ years experience with an internal audit, testing, risk management, process improvement, compliance, or front line control role demonstrating strong analytic skills
- 2+ years experience with Test Development, Test Execution or Quality Assurance or equivalent

- Minimum 2+ years of experience in testing, risk management, process improvement, compliance, or front-line control roles demonstrating strong analytical capability
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in Test Development, Test Execution, or Quality Assurance (QA/QC) or related functions
Desired skills
- Working knowledge of data warehousing and data mining concepts, with basic understanding of SAS/SQL/Python query languages
- Experience in writing queries to extract and analyze data from multiple data sources (e.g., DB2, Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop, Hive)
- Exposure to data acquisition and reporting tools such as Trifacta, Alteryx, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Cognos, or similar BI platforms
