Institutional Associate
Bartlett Wealth Management
The Institutional Associate is responsible for preparing critical client meeting materials, building customized presentations, and sourcing data for in-house research and analysis. The Institutional Associate will partner with advisors to understand the needs of clients and prospective clients, build presentations to articulate investment solutions, and be involved in client engagement. While the role will focus on institutional clients, there will be overlap with wealth management work for private clients. The Institutional Associate will gain cross-functional knowledge of investment research, portfolio management, marketing, compliance, and other crucial building blocks of investment management. The role provides a significant opportunity for growth within the firm over time with multiple career paths.
Position Responsibilities:
Client Reporting
- Maintain and update all institutional client reporting materials for the firm.
- Regularly distribute Bartlett’s strategy information and performance details to key consultants and institutional partners.
- Generate client-specific ESG reports for inclusion in institutional presentations.
- Produce various periodic reports and handle special projects as needed.
- Ensure the integrity of Bartlett’s brand, message, and client data in all presentation materials and client review pages.
- Serve as the back-up for the Wealth Advisory Analyst for private client reporting needs.
- Quarterback the completion of institutional RFPs and related information requests by establishing relationships with departments across the firm.
- Lead the creation of institutional pitchbooks for new business.
- Complete quarterly and annual information requests for third-party investment platforms.
- Update and maintain institutional-related marketing and RFP materials.
- Develop customized portfolio analysis utilizing software including Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, Hidden Levers, and other internal portfolio accounting and trading systems.
- Collaborate with teams across the firm including marketing, research, institutional relationship managers, portfolio management, operations, IT, and compliance.
- Develop a deep understanding of the financial markets and Bartlett’s investment strategies.
- Support investment analysis in multiple investment strategies - including equities, fixed income, mutual funds, exchange traded funds and alternative investments.
New Business Support

Data Management

- Collaborate with teams across the firm including marketing, research, institutional relationship managers, portfolio management, operations, IT, and compliance.
- Develop a deep understanding of the financial markets and Bartlett’s investment strategies.
- Support investment analysis in multiple investment strategies - including equities, fixed income, mutual funds, exchange traded funds and alternative investments.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Finance, Economics, or other business degree is preferred).
- Knowledge of capital markets, investment strategies, and the institutional investment landscape.
- 4+ years of relevant experience with a financial services firm.
- Proficiency working on PC platforms.
- Strong PowerPoint skills, proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience and familiarity working with Morningstar Direct, Hidden Levers, and Bloomberg is preferred.
