General Summary
The Operator should have knowledge of the safe operation, preventative maintenance and material identification. The Crane Operator will work closely with others within the team to achieve established goals and objectives. The Crane Operator will work to maintain continuous process improvements while striving to achieve on time, in full, error free shipments
- Perform Preventative Maintenance as required
- Accurate identification of materials
- Selecting and loading of correct materials to proper location
- Unloading of trucks
- Moving scrap trailer using yard dog.
- Insure accuracy of required transactions
- Follow processes and procedures including SWI
- Complies with EHS requirements
- Works closely with Department Supervisors
- Support fellow team members to achieve company goals and objectives
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of safe crane operating methodology
- Prior experience is preferred from a related environment
- Math, reading and computer skills to support duties and responsibilities
- Work well in a team environment
- Multi task
- Attention to detail
- Ability to recognize unsafe conditions
Credentials and Experience
- Previous experience on crane equipment is preferred
