Job purpose

Provide individual and group counseling, treatment planning, and assessment under the supervisory report of the Director of Clinical Services or their designee.

Duties and responsibilities

- Provide therapeutic treatment services to adults with substance use disorders and/or other co-occurring mental illness within their scope of practice.

- Provide both individual and group services as assigned

- Complete all required documentation, assessment, treatment plan, progress notes, and transfer/discharge notes.

- Excellent clinical skills in order to diagnose and treat DSM 5 mental health disorders, including substance use disorders.

- Coordinate all aspects of care with other members of the interdisciplinary team.

- Maintain at least an overall score of 90% in all areas of chart review.

- Participate on committees and in quality improvement activities as assigned.

- Maintain credentialing or licensure necessary for the position and continually update professional skills through in-service training and other sources.

Qualifications

Licensed by the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professions Board (LCDCII minimum), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II or III (LCDCII or LCDCIII) or the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist Board. License specifically includes Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT).

Independently Licensed by the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board or the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist Board. License specifically includes Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC), or Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT). A minimum of two years paid experience working in counseling. Supervision endorsement preferred. Previous experience in electronic charting is helpful
