Participates in the management of hospital inventory / supply locations with an annual throughput of supplies equal to $36 million in cash and an inventory level of approximately $3 million. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma required. Bachelor degree in related field is preferred.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 3 years in receiving / distribution functions. Minimum of 2 years hospital experience preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Familiarity with supply distribution functions such as receiving, picking and issues. Familiar with the basic principles of a perpetual inventory. Ability to safely operate an electric fork lift. General computer knowledge in windows, key board operation, email access and terminology used to direct someone during training. Must be able to perform intermediate functions in Microsoft Excel such as sorting, equations, find and replace, and filtering. Must be able to effectively communicate to describe solutions, problems and actions in consistent terminology.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
Supply Chain Certifications CMRP or IAHCSMM preferred.
Evaluates and maintains par levels and re-order points for all storeroom and par location inventories. Responsible for reviewing the ERP system generated recommended order placement and adjusting appropriately. Submits orders within the designated timelines to ensure prompt delivery of supplies. Creates requisitions for bill only items and monitors ordering of special items.
Determines excess and obsolete inventory and works with the clinical coordinators / materials management and sourcing to reduce or eliminate. Perform special inventory research or projects deemed necessary and approved by management. Addresses any system issue to resolve accurate counts and documentation.
Maintains metric data to be reported and reviewed to determine self and team performance. Prepares reports of weekly and monthly cycle count statistics for management. Responsible for the monthly reporting of quantities on hand and dollar value by inventory or par location.
Responsible for Reconciling inventory and cycle counts in designated Storeroom. Performs the required inventory adjustment transactions.
Works through conflict resolution with vendors and internal partners in which analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
