The Bone Marrow Transplantation Department at Cincinnati Children's is widely recognized for its excellence in clinical care, research, and education to improve outcomes for children globally:

  • Provide safe, compassionate, and effective patient care in inpatient and clinic settings
  • Participating in scholarly activities as evidenced by publication of clinical investigation either independently or in collaboration with other researchers, clinical observations, reviews, chapters or books; participation in clinical trials; review manuscripts
  • Help mentor trainees and junior faculty
  • Participate in service/administrative activities of the Department/Division
  • Be responsible for policies and procedures and for the consultative and support services that relate to safe and effective patient care
  • Contribute to the development of innovative programs for patient care and quality improvement work

Qualifications and Experience

  • M.D., or D.O., with board certification in Pediatrics or, additional training and/or advanced degree (MPH, Ph.D., etc.) is a plus
  • Pediatric BMT experience is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain State of Ohio Medical Board licensure
  • (PhD) and/or Medical Degree (MD/DO) or their equivalent in a related scientific or research field
  • 5+ years related experience in research field research and/or laboratory environment, assisting with the preparation of data for presentation at scientific meetings.
  • Candidates must have a strong record of publication in high impact journals, and a history of extramural funding from federal sources or national foundations
  • Rank of Professor with eligibility for appointment as affiliated faculty with the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine
  • Demonstration of sustained excellence in research productivity, clinical care, and/or mentorship and development of trainees and junior faculty
  • Commitment to uphold and enhance principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in alignment with Cincinnati Children’s culture and beliefs
  • The applicant should show evidence of productive collaborative efforts across disciplines.
  • The applicant must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills and be able to function well within the highly collaborative environment at Cincinnati Children’s where interdivisional, interdepartmental, and inter-institutional cooperation is essential
  • Additionally preferred competencies include: 1.) understands and supports family-centered care, 2.) appreciates cultural differences and tailors treatment interventions to meet associated needs; and 3.) effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
