The Division of Pediatric Ophthalmology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is currently seeking a residency trained optometrist to join our team.

The Division of Pediatric Ophthalmology is committed to advancing pediatric eye care including through excellence in clinical practice, research and innovation. The clinical division is comprised of twelve pediatric ophthalmologists and nine residency-trained optometrists who see nearly 50,000 outpatient visits annually. Our team provides comprehensive eye care including for refractive error, myopia control, amblyopia, strabismus, glaucoma, retinopathy of prematurity, anterior and posterior segment dysgenesis and inherited disease. Our sub-specialty clinics include pediatric retina, uveitis, oculoplastics and cornea, low vision rehabilitation, ophthalmic genetics and pediatric specialty contact lenses.

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is ranked as a Best Children's Hospitals in U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-25 edition of America’s Best Children's Hospitals. This includes #1 rankings in pediatric cancer, pediatric gastroenterology and GI surgery, pediatric pulmonology and lung surgery. Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is ranked in the top 3 in orthopedics, neurology and neurosurgery, nephrology, and pediatric diabetes and endocrinology. JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree

  • Current active medical license issued by the State of Ohio or eligible for license

  • Appropriate medical credentialing through the Medical Staff Services offices

  • Completion of all required pre-employment activities

  • Clinical Instructor appointment or eligibility

  • Prior clinical practice experience may be required based on area of clinical specialty
