The Information Services Department at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is excited to offer a 12-week Summer Program designed to provide college students with real-world exposure to the fast-paced world of Information Technology in healthcare.
This isn’t your average experience — it’s a dynamic, hands-on opportunity to step into the heart of our technical teams and gain insider access to the systems, tools, and innovations that keep our nationally ranked hospital running smoothly.
From day one, you’ll engage directly with professionals across multiple IT disciplines, shadowing experts and building a comprehensive understanding of how cutting-edge technology supports life-saving care. If you're ready to learn, observe, and grow in one of the top pediatric medical centers in the country — this is the opportunity for you!
Job Responsibilities:
Learn the daily operations of healthcare and/or research investigators within assigned departments
Foster interest and career development in healthcare or research-related fields
Gain hands-on experience and awareness of the academic, technical, and personal skills required in healthcare and/or research professions
Develop understanding of various healthcare and research careers, including their unique cultures and work environments
Build awareness of the critical connection between education, work, and long-term goal achievement
Comply with Cincinnati Children’s policies and procedures regarding patient rights, informed consent, and confidentiality
Complete all required Cincinnati Children’s training for the position
Follow all safety practices and protocols within the assigned environment
Adhere to and model the organization's Core Standards and department/unit-specific expectations
Job Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled in a degree-granting college or university program
