JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Routinely inspecting & performing preventative maintenance HVAC systems/equipment.
· Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
· Responding, Identifying and repairing faults or issues
· Troubleshooting system failures.
· Reviewing and understanding how to read blueprints.
· Conducting maintenance repairs on old or faulty equipment.
· Providing suggestions for equipment replacement.
· Writing HVAC maintenance reports.
· Installing new HVAC equipment in the building.
· Adhering to safety and performance standards.
To troubleshoot and repair systems and components and inspect and complete service requests in a timely efficient manner for the Building Maintenance department.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
· EPA 608 certification
· Standard practices of the HVAC and refrigeration trade.
· Good problem-solving skills & critical thinking.
· Physically strong and able to stand for long periods.
· Analyze data from routine maintenance and identifying potential malfunctions.
· Excellent communication skills
· Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
· Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
· Experience in a Hospital work environment.
· Experience with electrical systems.
· Proficient in electrical diagnostic skills.
· Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools.
· Welding and soldering techniques.
