JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Controls- Evaluate control environment and recommend process improvements to enhance the department's controls structure.

  • Cross-Functional Partnerships- Serve as department representative on cross-divisional projects as they arise to provide financials accounting expertise.

  • Project Management- Lead projects on implementation of new accounting standards or cost reporting changes through gathering required internal and external data to effectively implement changes.

  • Compliance- Review and maintain accounting policies over area of responsibility with the assistance of management.

  • Regulatory Standards- Review and manage projects to account for new/one-time transactions in compliance with accounting and regulatory standards.

  • Training & Development- Participate in the development of training modules and prepare relevant job aides as changes are made for systems in area of responsibility.

  • Audit Reporting- Prepare external financial reports for IRS, Government Agencies, and the External Auditors and work directly with personnel from these institutions during the audit and reporting process.

  • Staff Development- Assist Managers and Directors in the development of staff technical accounting skills.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economic

  • ​Preferred: Master's Degrees

  • 4+ years Public Accounting OR Experience within a complex healthcare environment

  • Preferred: CPA
