Sr Food Services Assistant– Starbucks Barista
Starbucks Barista – 2nd/3rd Shift Retail Relief
8-hour shifts could be scheduled either 10a - 6:30p and/or 2:30pm -11:00pm. All schedules require every other weekend and every other holiday. Times are subject to change based on business needs.
Customer Service
Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
Engage with customers to understand their preferences and make personalized recommendations.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Address customer concerns promptly and courteously.
Beverage Preparation
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages
Ensure consistency and quality of beverages by following established recipes and procedures
Operate and maintain coffee machines and other equipment
Monitor the inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients
Cleanliness and Maintenance
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including counters, machines, and equipment
Perform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the hygiene and functionality of equipment
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed
Team Collaboration
Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the coffee shop
Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate tasks and provide seamless service to customers
Participate in training sessions and team meetings to stay updated on new products and procedures
Qualifications and Skills
Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred
Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Manual dexterity to operate coffee machines and other equipment
