- Work 1–2 weekend days per month to help cover staffing needs
Key Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identity and dietary needs before placing meal orders
- Prepare for isolation precautions when infectious disease indicators are present
- Assist patients, families, and staff with meal ordering and related inquiries
- Resolve requests and concerns in alignment with CCHMC policies
- Communicate with external departments or vendors as needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient medical and financial information
- Access only the information necessary to perform job duties
- Complete and verify documents and questionnaires to meet regulatory standards (JCAHO, CMS, ODH)
- Ensure accurate data entry into HealthTouch POS and Salesforce systems
- Support accurate billing and documentation by collecting required data
- Report system errors or recommend improvements to management
Preferred Skills
- Experience in customer service or healthcare setting
- Familiarity with dietary restrictions and nutrition services
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
- Basic computer proficiency
- Bilingual abilities a plus
