Clinical Research Supervisor (or CRC IV) - RHD Project Manager

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Operations - Provide direct supervision to clinical front-office clerical or clinical support staff in patient care and related duties. Assign or reassign work duties as the daily work flow requires in coordination with the division's operations. Update division patient care policies and procedures in collaboration with Division leadership. Assist in Quality Assurance reviews. Coordinate routine instrument maintenance. Address patient/family concerns and questions.
Grant Administration - Design, participate and collaborate in departmental and interdepartmental grant and research projects.
People Planning - Conduct ongoing evaluation and mentoring of direct reports, including effective, clear, and timely annual performance evaluation. Ensure staff is properly trained to perform job functions. Determine and monitor implementation of continuing education goals of the department and provide educational opportunities for department staff. Ensure departmental and Medical Center initiatives, priorities, standards, and policies are effectively communicated and understood by direct and indirect reports.
Compliance - Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, such as JCAHO, HIPAA, and/or other accreditation standards. Design and/or implement programs, policies, and/or procedures to ensure compliance. Track laws and regulations that might affect policies and procedures. May prepare compliance reports and communicate results as necessary.
Strategic Planning - Support the development and implementation of research systems and processes to improve productivity and efficiency and to facilitate sustained growth in collaboration with Principal Investigators. Organize and conduct annual research needs assessment. Participates in the planning, design, measurement, assessment and improvement of the division's services. Work with faculty, and business director/managers to provide leadership for new project development efforts including development of scope or work, budget and management of contract negotiations, and execution.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications for Clinical Research Supervisor:
Bachelor's degree in a related field
3+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
Cert Clinical Research Coord OR Certified Clinical Research Associate (CRA)
Qualifications for CRC IV:
Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3 years of experience in related job discipline or Master's degree and 2 years of experience in a related job discipline. Certified Clinical Research Coordinator within 18 months of external hire date.
