As an Analyst I specializing in Epic EMR (Ambulatory CHSN & MyChart), your core responsibility is to lead and support education initiatives for the hospital’s Epic Ambulatory clinical documentation systems at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center Community Heath Services Network locations. This includes designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that support primary care clinicians (Physicians, APPs, nursing, medical assistants) in effectively using Epic to support clinical workflows and patient care. Additionally you will be responsible for developing training materials and facilitating sessions on MyChart workflows for clinical staff including patient enrollment and communication.

In this role, you will manage multiple concurrent training efforts and enhancement initiatives, develop and maintain curricula, and support ongoing optimization of Epic functionality through education and system knowledge. This is one of the most dynamic training roles supporting the organization's growth through community practice acquisitions facilitating training for new practice sites as well as newly hired staff to existing practices. It requires flexibility in on-site presence. In addition, you will support curriculum review, ongoing maintenance, and management of the Epic training environment to ensure content remains current, effective, and aligned with evolving clinical workflows.

Please note that this position follows a hybrid work model and requires periodic on-site presence to support training delivery, collaboration, and operational needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Build / Configuration / Release Management

  • Analyze, design, implement, and maintain moderately complex training systems that greatly improves understanding and navigation of Epic to support clinical care and patient management.

  • Utilize development lifecycle processes, operating procedures, and documentation to implement and support system solutions.

  • Drive the scheduling of clinical systems training and build environments to ensure currency and usability for end user training.

  • Independently develop educational technology content for applicable use.

  • Recommend opportunities for and participate in process improvement to advance education and learning processes, including content tracking, review, and revision.

  • Drive the use of multivariate learning modalities to address adult learning styles and clinical system education needs.

Leadership

  • Take ownership of tasks with a sense of urgency and drive them to completion.

  • Take initiative and proactively identify work that needs to be done.

  • Communicate with supervisors regarding overall issues and roadblocks.

  • Identify appropriate resources needed to complete small to medium projects.

  • Support communication on project-related issues and developments.

  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Attend and participate in design and leadership team meetings for clinical applications deployed throughout the hospital.

  • Consult with end users to ensure clinical system applications and training materials support global and unique patient care delivery processes.

  • Network with internal and external experts to identify best practices for clinical system use and training.

  • Ensure outstanding end-user support, including monitoring Service Level Agreements for incident management and collaborating with other teams to ensure customer-centered support.

  • Apply critical thinking to work through problems and identify positive solutions.

  • Plan and execute user support through clinical system training and the creation and curation of advanced education and training materials.

  • Adhere to and promote continual adoption of change management policies and procedures.

  • Interact with all levels of staff throughout the Medical Center in a collaborative manner.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 2+ years of work experience in a related job discipline

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • EPIC certification.

  • Prior eLearning creation experience.

  • Experience in Community Health practices

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, respiratory therapy, or a related clinical field.

  • 3 years of experience developing and implementing training strategies focused on clinical information systems, including classroom training and content creation.

  • Strong project management skills.
