CSU Producer Resources Inc. seeks an experienced data analyst for excess and surplus lines. This role is responsible for building reports based on business needs while ensuring data is always available and up to date, working through any errors that may arise.

This position is based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio. Many departments at our Headquarters offer hybrid work options, empowering associates to work from home several days a week. Depending on your role and responsibilities, hybrid options may be available.

Salary: The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Be ready to:

  • act as the primary data and reporting resource for C-SUPR
  • design reports by understanding data sets through CFXML, Snowflake and other data sources
  • deliver quick ad-hoc reports based on underwriting needs or agency visits
  • investigate and resolve data quality issues
  • implement data extraction sequences to allow for self-reporting
  • support all reporting tools utilizing business data
  • lead the requirements gathering process with IT business analysts and developers and follow through with implementation
  • review reports to discover and correct errors
  • provide reports to senior leadership for financial and risk assessments
  • assist in shifting reporting platforms to what will provide the most value

Be equipped with:

  • the ability to gather requirements and share business needs with our IT teams
  • the ability to analyze data and determine where corrections are needed
  • business process improvement skills
  • strong prioritization and reasoning skills with the ability to multi-task
  • the ability to identify and analyze key critical issues and provide solutions for successful outcomes
  • an understanding of key metrics, including calculations of retention, renewal premium change, net rate, hit ratio and combined ratio
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • the ability to learn quickly as new reporting systems become available
  • the willingness to continue education on how to use reporting tools
  • the ability to accomplish goals with moderate supervision

Bring education or experience from:

  • a bachelor’s degree or related application knowledge (required)
  • proficiency in Microsoft® Excel, Power BI and/or Cognos (preferred)
  • experience in analyzing data and creating reports
  • two to three years in a similar data analyst role
