The Personal Lines department is currently seeking a product manager to manage multiple state and multiple lines of business (e.g. auto, home, umbrella) pricing strategies.
Salary: The pay range for this position is $95,000-$180,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
Be Ready To:
- provide strategic and tactical direction on initiatives for product segments both countrywide or line of business
- recommend projects to Personal Lines management and product officer that will significantly impact business unit results
- occasionally sponsor, and more frequently manage, complex projects aimed at driving change across units within Product Management
- direct analysts and influences department priorities on competitor intelligence and leads business unit strategic initiatives cross-functionally
- use research to determine tactical direction for both operation and assigned line of business
- work with Predictive Modeling and Marketing on customer behavior analysis and customer profiling
Be Equipped With:
- bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Math or other quantitative field
- advanced degree or ACAS/FCAS designation desirable
- experience in pricing and rate making, risk selection, market segmentation, implementation, product development and product design
- eight or more years, typically nine years or more, of experience in jobs with progressive responsibility, preferably in insurance
- exceptional planning, organizational, analytical, decision-making and communication skills
- experience managing individuals or operations required
- excellent analytic, quantitative and problem solving skills with proven ability to influence other leaders across both the business and product organizations
- expert knowledge of product offerings, business processes, systems, underwriting rules, pricing plans and databases
- expert understanding of insurance concepts, business knowledge and financial metrics
