The IT Business Insurance department of Cincinnati Insurance has a need for a developer to join one of its product teams. This team owns a mission-critical solution utilized both internally and externally by our customers for policy management. This position is for a person with a minimum of 1-3 years of development experience. The candidate will work with a mid-size agile team using Scrum/Kanban/Agile principles to implement and update functionality for the application. Insurance knowledge is beneficial to be successful but is not a requirement.
To ensure active engagement in meetings, it is mandatory for all IT associates to have cameras turned on for all interactions with other associates, customers, and stakeholders. Your camera must be on and positioned correctly to clearly show your face. This practice is crucial for maintaining connection and engagement, as non-verbal cues are essential for effective communication.
Starting pay: The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $110,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Responsibilities include design, development, unit testing, and maintenance of the product. The successful candidate must demonstrate initiative to be a self-sufficient team player. Adaptability to change is a key attribute for success. As a member of an Agile product team, practicing the values of Courage, Focus, Commitment, Respect, and Openness is expected as part of the team’s working agreement.
The primary technology used in this position is an XML-based proprietary programming language. A working knowledge of XML technologies and fundamental programming techniques are the core of this position.
