Our Headquarters Claims Operations department seeks a claims technology analyst. This role is responsible for implementing claims system changes, including gathering requirements, testing, providing production support, reporting and training.
This position is based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio. Many departments at our Headquarters offer hybrid work options, empowering associates to work from home several days a week. Depending on your role and responsibilities, hybrid options may be available.
Starting pay: The pay range for this position is $50,000-$75,000 annually. Pay is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
Be ready to:
- participate in meetings with stakeholders to gather information to develop clear, concise business and functional requirements
- clearly identify and document existing functionality as background for system change and reporting requirements
- understand the lifecycle of defects and deliver requirements and testing results in a timely manner
- identify conflicting requirements or unfeasible requests and work with the management team to negotiate amongst stakeholders to provide the best solutions
- be responsible for the completion, distribution and sign-off of requirements
- maintain requirements documentation and communicate updates to all involved stakeholders
Testing
- be responsible for creating, documenting and executing QA and UA test cases
- log system defects in Spira and manage their progress
- collaborate with IT developers regarding issues found during testing
- research and analyze defects
- submit user acceptance testing documentation and provide UAT sign-off
- coordinate end-user testing of system changes, including preparation of test data and content
- validate system changes at go-live
Production Support and Reporting
- work closely with our business units to identify needs and evaluate existing options to meet those needs
- provide customer service to associates, insureds, vendors and agency customers who need assistance with questions or issues related to claims data, dashboards or reporting needs
- deliver on ad-hoc claim data requests and medium-complexity claim reporting deliverables
- peer review reports and statutory data submissions
- troubleshoot and analyze root causes and solutions for claims data or reporting issues
- lead and/or assist with special projects that require collaboration with vendors, associates and other stakeholders
- conduct proofs of concept on process enhancements to find efficiencies in reporting
- own production inquiries from end users and drive new inquiries to resolution
- troubleshoot and reproduce issues and identify solutions
- work with developers to solve issues related to claims data outside the scope of our team
- provide analysis of production issues, data and processes
- document issues for our claim system and submit the issues through a customer portal
Training
- lead training sessions for associates and agents regarding claims reporting and data solutions
- create and maintain training guides for various user groups to communicate upcoming system changes
- actively participate in end-user sessions regarding upcoming claims systems
- actively participate in knowledge sessions within Claims Operations regarding upcoming changes
