Our Administrative Services department seeks a corporate safety coordinator. This role is responsible for improving the overall safety of our associates, visitors and contractors within The Cincinnati Insurance Company’s 1.4 million square foot multi-facility campus located in Fairfield, OH. This role is primarily responsible for enforcing safety standards, completing safety audits and educating associates.

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $88,000 annually. Pay is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Be ready to:

  • assist in developing and updating health and safety programs, department policies, SOPs, Job Hazard Analyses and Methods of Procedures
  • perform safety related administrative functions, including policy reviews, scheduled audits, annual goals tracking and management of training

    certifications

  • deliver safety training to associates and contractors and ensure consistent understanding of established standard
  • conduct regular safety inspections, audits, risk assessments and ergonomic evaluations to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • support incident investigations by analyzing accidents, near misses and hazardous conditions to identify root causes and suggest improvements
  • develop policies, procedures and associated training programs
  • lead training courses
  • ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and federal/state safety requirements
  • monitor and analyze occupational health and safety data and recommend updates to workplace practices
  • verify that associates and contractors consistently follow safety policies and procedures
  • serve as backup to team members and perform additional duties as assigned
  • take an active role in emergency response and potentially respond to building emergencies during and outside standard business hours

Be equipped with:

  • a strong ability to recognize unsafe conditions, analyze incidents, identify root and contributing causes, and produce clear reports that drive improvements
  • experience developing policies and implementing comprehensive safety training programs
  • high attention to detail with strong critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
  • the ability to teach, coach and reinforce established safety standards effectively across all associate levels
  • the ability to stay composed, de escalate stressful situations and respond professionally during emergencies or crisis situations

Bring education or experience from:

  • an associate’s degree in applied science or five years of related job experience

  • beginner or advanced level certifications like the Certified Safety Professional, Safety Management Specialist, Safety Management Professional, Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician or Certified Professional Ergonomist (preferred)

  • OSHA 30 course (preferred)
