The department of Personal Pricing and Modeling has an opening in our corporate headquarters located in Fairfield, Ohio. We are looking for a highly talented experienced modeler or actuary who is interested in learning new things and is capable of contributing in a dynamic and broadly skilled modeling/actuarial department.
The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $160,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
Be ready to:
- assist with the development and maintenance of multivariate pricing and underwriting models for personal or business insurance
- develop analytic studies of profitability and growth
- conduct research and development leading to potentially useful predictive models in the future
- interact with several departments within the company, including Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, Claims, and IT
Be equipped with:
- strong experience with Excel
- strong experience with SAS, R, Python or other statistical software tools
- experience with SAS, R, Python programming or other programming languages
- experience working with insurance data or other large datasets
- strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Bring education and experience from:
- a bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, physics, engineering, actuarial science, or some other quantitative field of study
- three or more years of property and casualty actuarial or modeling experience (required)
- advanced degree (masters or PhD) in a quantitative field of study
- ACAS or FCAS designation, or commitment to attaining the FCAS designation
