Description
Our Planning, Analytics and Risk Management (PARM) department seeks a Secretary I-III. This role provides personalized administrative support to the Chief Risk Officer and PARM Officers and assists with daily department operations. The position requires expertise in task management and prioritization, internal and external customer relations, and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
This position is based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio.
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 hourly. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and individual performance.
Be ready to:
- prepare meeting agendas and expense reports
- assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other written materials as needed
- prepare travel arrangements, itineraries, and materials
- provide calendar management, including scheduling, prioritization, and coordination across internal and external stakeholders; managing RSVPs; and handling event changes
- coordinate meetings and events, including luncheons and meetings with external brokers, reinsurers, and other guests
- manage external visitors, including pre-registration and greeting
- manage invoices and requisitions, including new-hire supplies, office supplies, work orders and other equipment and services needed for PARM associates
- manage the employment process for the department, including job postings, requisitions, status changes, staffing/headcount reports
- schedule interviews for candidates, including coordinating travel, itineraries, and other needs with hiring managers
- compile and communicate actuarial exam results to PARM officers and HR business partners
- handle non-routine tasks that require originality and ingenuity, while maintaining discretion and confidentiality and meeting tight timelines
- serve as a floor marshal
Be equipped with:
- outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- strong command of grammar, punctuation, spelling and proofreading
- ability to work with the highest degree of professionalism, using sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information
- ability to build welcoming, positive relationships and represent the department professionally within the company and externally
- excellent organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to anticipate needs and to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently with little to no supervision
- strong analytical skills and independent judgment to manage a variety of ad-hoc tasks
- mastery of Microsoft® Office tools
Bring either education or experience from:
- proven experience in a similar administrative role (preferred)
- a high school diploma (required) with an associate's degree (preferred)
