Institutional Advancement – Grants Administration Manager

The Grants Administration Manager is responsible for coordinating post-award management, reporting, and closeout of grants and other externally funded programs for the College and Foundation. The Grants Administration Manager will ensure that post-award grant-related processes, documents, and procedures are executed professionally, efficiently, on schedule, and in a manner consistent with best practices.
Essential Duties:
  • Provides post-award administration for all federal, state, local, and private grants in accordance with applicable standards, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Provides professional support to program/project directors for all post-award activities including project launch, performance cycle reporting, and close-out.
  • Works with program/project directors and the Operations Director to comply with sponsors’ terms and conditions to ensure timely progress report submission, to monitor spending and requested amendments, and to plan spend-out.
  • Develops and maintains systems for recording and tracking submitted grant proposals, awards, and related statistical information.
  • Maintains accurate and timely records of grant and funded program activities.
  • Assists as needed with writing/submitting grant progress reports.
  • Assures that all documentation submitted to sponsors meets all organizational and legal requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with all governmental regulations and policies, all grant terms and conditions, and college policies and procedures.
  • Prepares and distributes standard reports, summaries, and analysis of funded projects monthly and as requested.
  • Evaluates grant projects for continuous improvements in the grants process.
  • Performs other duties aligned with the mission of Institutional Advancement and the Foundation as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of applicable grant administration experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in collaborative partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability for teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous federal post-award grant administration experience within higher education environment.
  • Experience working with/in foundations, nonprofits, or private sector funding agencies.

Details:
Reports To: Institutional Advancement and Foundation Operations Director
Minimum Compensation: $70,000/yr.
