Performs engineering support tasks within the Metropolitan Sewer District’s (MSD) Development Services Section located within the Engineering Division; works with MSD’s Sewer Assessment Program manager to provide sewer service to unsewered areas within Hamilton County; conducts planning and identifies feasible alternatives for sewer extension projects; coordinates with internal and external stakeholders on assessment program status; performs plan reviews to ensure compliance with rules, regulations, and standards; promote utility coordination with stakeholders; participate in capital planning efforts to enhance project delivery.

SENIOR ENGINEER:

SENIOR ENGINEER QUALIFICATIONS:

Each applicant must be a registered professional engineer in the State of Ohio, or in a state with equivalent registration requirements. If not registered in Ohio when appointed, Ohio registration must be obtained during the probationary period.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of registration with the State of Ohio as a Professional Engineer.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Driver's License.

MILITARY EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE EVALUATION
Military education and experience may be substituted for college level course work at the lower and upper division baccalaureate and graduate levels and apprenticeship training at the vocational certificate level on a case-by-case basis based on the American Council on Education (ACE) Military Guide recommendations.

Environmental Conditions: Indoor and outdoor environments; exposure to office computer screens; exposure to extremes in weather conditions; work in or with water; work below ground, on slippery or uneven surfaces, on ladders or scaffolds; work around heavy equipment/construction equipment, moving vehicles; exposure to dust, asbestos, exhaust fumes; possibility of working with toxic chemicals, depending on assignment.
