The Transportation and Engineering Department is seeking a Co-op/Intern to perform the following job duties under the direct oversight and guidance of a Supervisory Engineer:

The ideal candidate is a motivated college student with a strong interest in structural and/or bridge engineering. Previous experience, coursework in materials, or structural design classes are desirable but not required.

The candidate must be willing and able to perform field work.

Applicant must be working towards a degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in engineering or a closely related field.

In order to qualify for the Intern/Co-op/Extern Program, a student must:

• Be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or a non-citizen with proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• Individuals under eighteen will require a work permit
• Be enrolled in an accredited institution
• Submit a City job application for employment
