Job Description
As the Credit Analyst, you will support the bank’s lending function with a strong focus on commercial lending. You’ll partner closely with lenders and the credit team to analyze financial data, assess risk, and help ensure sound credit decisions—while keeping lending operations running efficiently and compliantly.
Additionally, you will:
- Underwrite and analyze commercial loan requests, including financial spreading and risk grading
- Prepare and review credit memos and loan presentations for accuracy and completeness
- Evaluate financial statements, cash flow, and tax returns to assess borrower risk and trends
- Assist with annual reviews of commercial clients and monitor changes in credit risk
- Support centralized lending processes, including underwriting, documentation, and due diligence
- Review loan documentation to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations
- Track and collect financial information from commercial clients
- Assist with lien filings/releases, flood determinations, and insurance tracking
- Support loan administration tasks, including escrow accounts and loan system maintenance
- Balance general ledger accounts and process loan-related transactions
- Prepare reports and support board-level loan presentations
- Provide overall administrative and analytical support to the lending team
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in commercial credit or loan administration (community bank experience preferred)
- Strong financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret financial statements and identify potential risks or inconsistencies
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- High school diploma required; degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
