Complete Mechanical Services is an award-winning Industrial General Contractor located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Founded over 25 years ago, we provide innovative solutions including capabilities in Project and Construction Management, 3D Scanning & Design, Shop Prefabrication, Plumbing and Civil/Site work.

We are currently looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Blue Ash, Ohio.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

General Accounting

· Prepare and post journal entries including payroll, accruals, and job cost adjustments

· Assist with monthly and year-end close processes

· Perform bank and balance sheet account reconciliations

· Support preparation of internal financial reports and audit activities

· Maintain organized and accurate financial records

Accounts Receivable & Job Cost Support

· Prepare customer billings, including AIA pay applications, progress, time & material, and retention billings

· Prepare necessary lien waivers and other necessary invoicing documentation

· Work with project managers to gather documentation for billing, change orders and job close out

· Record accounts receivable collections and monitor outstanding account receivables

· Assist with creation of new jobs including schedule of values and change orders

Compliance & Process Improvement

· Maintain vendor documentation including W-9s and certificates of insurance

· Assist with sales and use tax reporting

· Oversee 1099 preparation

· Participate in process improvements within the accounting department

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related subject

· 1–3 years of accounting experience (construction experience highly preferred)

· High attention to detail and accuracy

· Ability to manage multiple active projects and deadlines

· Strong communication skills; ability to collaborate with operations and field leadership

· Ability to quickly learn new software

· Professional judgment and ability to handle confidential information

· Process-oriented with continuous improvement mindset
