Status: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
Pay Range: $38,900.00 – $46,900.00 (commensurate with experience)
Work Location: Building/Office based. Must be able to work in the office at least one to two days per week. Will work from home remaining days of the week.
Job Summary:
Responsible for general accounting functions relating to payroll, accounts receivables and payables, account reconciliations, and cost allocations.
Essential Functions:
- Manage accounts payable operations by ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor and provider payments, expense reports, and check requests in compliance with financial policies.
- Maintain financial integrity by reviewing, classifying, and recording accounts payable transactions in the Financial Edge system, ensuring proper general ledger coding and adherence to accounting standards.
- Oversee reconciliation processes including monthly credit card statements, accounts payable ledgers, and aging reports to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.
- Ensure vendor data accuracy by maintaining and updating master records in the ERP system and managing credit applications and adjustments.
- Administer invoice processing systems, including daily oversight of Paymerang, to facilitate efficient and secure payment workflows.
- Support regulatory compliance by preparing and submitting annual Unclaimed Funds reports and ensuring adherence to 1099, W-9, and sales tax requirements.
- Contribute to financial reporting by performing key accounting functions during the month-end close process and supporting audit readiness.
Experience:
- Associate degree in Accounting required; bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with general ledger activities, preferably using Blackbaud Financial Edge.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including:
- Contract billing
- Payroll
- Cost allocation
- Grant reporting
- Experience in a multi-user environment, ideally within a non-profit organization
- Demonstrated ability to perform financial analysis of expenditure accounts.
- Intermediate proficiency in:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Accounting software
- Database systems
