Contract Auditor
Location: Community-based (Your home office + travel to provider sites + in-office meetings)
Job Type: Full-Time (37.5 hours/week)
Pay Range: $44,600 – $54,000

Join Council on Aging (COA) and use your auditing and compliance expertise to protect vital services for older adults and people with disabilities. As a Contract Auditor, you’ll lead audits, ensure regulatory compliance, and help uphold the integrity of programs funded by state, federal, and county sources. This is a mission-driven role providing autonomy and community impact.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct contract compliance audits for PASSPORT, Assisted Living, Elderly Services Program, Home52, and Title III providers
  • Lead precertification reviews and structural compliance evaluations
  • Interpret and apply state, federal, and county regulations
  • Investigate health and safety incidents and follow up on provider complaints
  • Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate documentation in electronic systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure service quality
  • Update training materials and compliance tools as regulations evolve
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in contract management, compliance auditing, or provider monitoring
  • Knowledge of governmental funding, Medicaid programs, and regulatory standards preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and familiarity with PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong customer service and change management abilities
