As our BI Analyst for CareDirector, you’ll strengthen the analytics foundation behind that mission—building reporting solutions, shaping data architecture, and serving as the organization’s subject matter expert on CareDirector business intelligence.

Position Summary
The BI Analyst for CareDirector builds and maintains the reporting and analytics capabilities that drive organizational decision-making. This role designs and optimizes data integrations, reporting architecture, and performance within the CareDirector platform while serving as COA’s subject matter expert for CareDirector-specific BI needs. You will ensure that high-quality, consistent, and actionable data supports both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic goals.
Essential Functions
CareDirector Reporting & Analytics
- Build, maintain, and enhance CareDirector-specific reports and dashboards using Power BI and SSRS.
- Ensure reporting scalability, accuracy, and performance; proactively monitor and resolve issues.
- Demonstrate reporting outputs during sprint reviews and stakeholder meetings, translating technical results into clear insights.
- Maintain documentation for all dashboards, datasets, and reporting components to ensure long-term continuity.
Data Integration & Environment Management
- Configure and maintain integrations to external data sources and customer data warehouses supporting CareDirector reporting.
- Support data setup, mapping, and migration activities in lower environments to ensure reliable reporting and testing.
- Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot data anomalies or pipeline issues.
Architecture & Strategy
- Partner with solution architects to enhance CareDirector’s reporting architecture, including cloud-based and online transitions.
- Define and promote reporting standards, governance practices, and long-term analytics strategies.
- Evaluate and recommend tools or architectural enhancements that increase data quality, automation, or performance.
Code & Repository Governance
- Manage code repositories and version control processes for CareDirector reports, SQL scripts, data models, and related assets.
- Develop clean, reusable, and well-documented code to drive efficiency and consistency.
- Establish best practices for code review, deployment, and change control.
Collaboration, Training & SME Support
- Serve as COA’s BI subject matter expert for CareDirector, advising internal teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Train junior or temporary reporting staff on CareDirector reporting tools, processes, and analytics best practices.
- Provide guidance to program teams on interpreting insights, building queries, or adopting visualization standards.
Ad-Hoc Reporting & Data Support
- Assist teams with dashboards, advanced finds, and CRM-based reporting in CareDirector.
- Produce one-time data queries or extracts for funders and external partners (e.g., Ohio Department of Medicaid).
- Support compliance, quality improvement, and operational teams with timely, accurate data as needs arise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience developing reports using Power BI and SSRS.
- 5+ years of SQL Server experience, including querying large or complex datasets.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles, decision support methods, and KPI development.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and comfort engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
