-Position:Logistics Operations Coordinator

-Shift:1st

-Pay:$19.75 / hr

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal will also have the following skills:Supply Chain, IT, Operating Systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Inventory Control, Diagnostics, Computer hardware / software.

Aminimum of (1) one year's experience in the following is preferred:

-Intermediate or higher experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).

-Professional writing and phone etiquette, preferably with some negotiation.

-Experience with JDA, NTV, BLUE YONDER, OTM, Oracle, or SAP is also a PLUS but not required.

-Experience within a Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution environment is highly preferred.

-Hands-on training and experience with technical software/hardware support within a company (preferably warehouse, supply chain, distribution, logistics).

-First-line point of contact to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair software and hardware related issues with end-users in the facility.

-This is NOT a traditional helpdesk or ticket/incident support position.

Role Purpose:

Assist in coordinating truck, rail, and international shipments. Provide communication to both shippers and carriers. Assist in coordinating and providing problem-solving and order management for customers.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist in coordination of export/import shipments.
  • Establish and coordinate schedule with carrier and tender shipments.
  • Track and trace all shipments.
  • Update and maintain Transportation Management System(s) – SAP.
  • Prepare and publish daily, weekly reports.
  • Obtain data to assist in analysis on performance trends.
  • Proactively identify problems to management.
  • Answer and resolve basic billing questions when needed.
  • Prepare client invoice packets
  • Confirm rates with carriers.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
  • 6 months – 1 year warehouse or logistics experience, preferred
  • Communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually
