The Data Ops Engineer is responsible for designing, building, hosting, and operating data and analytics solutions under the OPS tower of the DevOps team. The Data Ops Engineer is responsible for providing secure, scalable, and reliable data engineering platforms and services across Linux VMs, AKS, and OpenShift, enabling analytics and data science teams to run data pipelines, integrations, and workloads connected to enterprise data lakes and platforms in alignment with business strategy, financial objectives, and Group standards.

Key Accountabilities:

• Design, build, host, and maintain data and analytics platforms on Linux VMs, AKS, and OpenShift
• Operate and support data pipelines, data services, and analytics workloads across development, test, and production environments
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code for data platforms
• Support integration between applications, data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics tools
• Manage containerized and VM-based data workloads, including performance tuning, scaling, availability, and cost optimization
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards for data systems
• Enforce security, access controls, compliance, and data protection standards
• Support Python-based data services, pipelines, and APIs used by analytics and data science teams
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, architects, and product teams to onboard and operationalize analytics solutions
• Work with development team on database optimization (tunning) for MySQL and SQLServer when needed
• Troubleshoot complex data platform, pipeline, and connectivity issues
• Contribute to platform standards, documentation, and best practices
• Manage stakeholders to include Developers and technical teams across counties and time zones to include: Europe, Maylasia, U.S.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years as a Data Engineer with strong cloud-based platform expertise
• Technical expertise: Data Engineering, Data Platforms, Data Pipelines, Data Lake Integration,
• Experience with Linux, Python, SQL, Containerization
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (AKS/OpenShift), Cloud Platforms, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Monitoring & Observability, Security & Access Management, API & Systems Integration, SQL Server and MySQL
• Architecture: Solid understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and Lakehouse architectures
• CI/CD & DevOps: Expertise in Git, GitHub Actions, and automation
• Programming: Strong in Python and SQL (Scala is a plus)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Strong analytical, process mapping, and documentation skills
• Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
• Knowledge of database backup and recovery solutions
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer, or AWS Certified Database Specialty
