Job Description

Serves as point of contact for security-system related issues. Provides project management of security system related activities, including design and retrofit/upgrade of security systems at new and existing sites. Develops and conducts training of Projects, Business Development, and ILD Teams on Security Cost Models/Matrix and classification. Converses with Management and Customers to design, develop, contract, and implement comprehensive security systems for protection of individuals, commercial, and industrial organizations. Provides advice and assistance for RFP responses, installation cost estimates, and compliance measures for governmental and regulatory programs.

  • Manages security system installation projects, including oversight of costs.
  • Develops, maintains, and distributes new and updated Physical Security Installation & Guideline Procedures.
  • Reviews Monthly/Quarterly Americas Cost Savings analysis and provides recommendations for improvements to processes and equipment to mitigate losses.
  • Provides advice, assistance, and training pertaining to governmental and other security-related programs (e.g., C-TPAT, CFATS, TAPA, CCSP, etc.). Serves as subject matter expert regarding security systems and procedures.
  • Participates on project start up teams. Collaborates with Vendor Project Managers to design security systems for start up and existing sites. Assures security installations are started and completed on schedule. Participates in project conference calls. Prepares and submits lessons learned at the completion of projects.
  • Manages the process to provide cost estimates for security systems and guard services for business pursuits and/or existing sites. Manages the selection of guard services for new and existing sites. Manages outside protective services contractors.
  • Reviews Risk Analysis for new/retro-fit projects as needed. Visits project sites to assure security solutions meet design and operational requirements. Provides security-related input/review for RFP/RFIs and contracts.
  • Recommends and implements procedures and systems for visitor control, employee identification, and safeguard of organization facilities, equipment, materials, and employee property. Conducts security system training as needed.
  • Conducts Security Assessments/Audits and employee interviews when needed.
  • Recommend CAPA’s to address deficiencies and maintenance of all physical security equipment: access controls, alarms, CCTV, etc. Acts as liaison with all supply vendors.
  • May assist in projects related to theft investigations, tracking claims loss valuations, and settlements. May assist with maintenance for Civil Recovery cases and log of restitution checks/receipts.
  • Performs special projects as directed by the SRD Security Operations.
  • Maintains current on security systems technology and applications.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent 4 years work experience, required
  • 5+ years of Security, Criminal Justice, Loss Prevention, Law Enforcement, Military, and/or Claims/Risk experience, required
  • 3+ years of experience with security technology, required
  • Thorough knowledge of logistics security, required
  • Considerable knowledge of local, state, and federal security regulations, required
  • Considerable knowledge of physical security technology and procedures to provide optimum physical security, required
  • Strong skills in the use and design of security technology systems, required
  • Ability to read schematics and drawings, required
  • Strong vendor management skills, required
  • Ability to take identified issues and make actionable solutions including the development of procedures and alerts, required
