Job Description
Provide strategic direction and thought leadership for the management and creation of continuous improvement tools. Provide leadership for the implementation of First Choice tools and principles across the business. Provide training for the development of skills within the business for various levels of Continuous Improvement activity.
Responsibilities
-Ensure a process structure exist in which key project initiatives are deployed with a specific focus on process standardization, consistency, and improvement.
-Align all CI activity with other OE functions, OMS, LMS and QA
-Manage teams of Advisors and Engineers designed to initiate CI activity and assist with implementation and follow-up to ensure improvements are achieved.
-Maintain balanced schedule of activity and travel to meet budgets and support healthy work life balance.
-Ensure value structure exist for the quantification of project savings / defect reduction for all CI activity.
-Develop and maintain First Choice certification training to all operational and functional groups.
-Support and participate in customer presentations to support communication of DHL CI programs.
-Align CI with OMS and ensure the CI/Eng team understands and communicates CI roles with the OMS cycle.
-Ensure personal development of CI/ Eng team members to improve their abilities to support the business.
-Provide support and direction in the development of CI strategic direction for DSC NA
-Lead or direct high level/complex strategic workshop activity
-Ensure CI/Eng team understands/participates in supporting all OE functions while in the field. Demonstrate the ONE OE concept
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree, required
- 5-7 years Management Experience
- 5-7 years Quality, LEAN, Six Sigma, problem solving experience, required
- Knowledge of LEAN operating systems, required
- Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience, required
- Facilitation skills, required
