We are currently hiring a Security Compliance Supervisor. This position will be responsible for leading a team of security and disposal center analysts, investigators and specialists. These teams perform daily package handling/destruction, data entry, security investigations and security compliance related functions. This role is responsible for training, developing and mentoring both office and warehouse teams. As a Security Compliance Supervisor, you will manage and coordinate daily warehouse/office operations in an efficient, safe and compliant manner. This position will require strong, skillful leadership as well as leading by example with the utmost integrity. Position will also require excellent communication/organizational skills, accurate timekeeping, metrics tracking, inventory management, knowledge of company and government policies, problem solving and report writing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishes, monitors, and revises policies, procedures and service standards for security compliance operations while ensuring government, safety and company compliance
- Ensures all policies and procedures are consistently followed
- Responsible for maintaining and meeting key performance indicator targets for team productivity
- Supervises approximately 6-15 (subject to change) direct report staff daily
- The role will be responsible for hiring, coaching/corrective action, training, and developing subordinate staff
- Monitors for escalations, assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes
- Is the primary point of contact for vendor relations and is responsible for team/workspace safety
- Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem-solving skills to deal creatively with complex situations
- Able to receive direction with respect to general objectives; uses independent discretion and judgment as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Experience within a high-volume environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Experience with industrial/warehouse equipment
- Dangerous Goods/HAZMAT experience preferred
- Generally understands basic supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, and disciplinary action
- The ability to build strong positive relationships with customers internally and externally as well as the team
- BS/BA is preferred but not required. Looking for 3-5 years' experience in related field, including at least one year of supervisory experience
- Work is performed inside, outside, or in combination, subject to temperature extremes, noise, vibrations, hazards or other special circumstances
- Light work (exerting up to 70 lbs. of force occasionally, and up to 10 lbs. of force frequently and or a small amount of force constantly to move objects)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail entrepreneurial, innovative spirit, willingness to accept ownership and accountability
