Responsibilities

As an Automation Service and Implementation Technician at DHL, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of quality implementations, across all automated and robotic systems ensuring the performance of the systems is maintained to the design criteria In a fast-paced environment, where every day is different, you'll have the autonomy to make decisions and be able to continually be grown professionally. Use your talents to support the team to greatness and drive the future of logistics, using the latest technology

  • Provide day‑to‑day operational support to site Operations teams, including responding to performance and workflow‑related queries.
  • Facilitate effective resolution and provide solutions to escalations raised by Operations.
  • Attend site visits to support deployments, operational readiness, equipment assessments, and audits.
  • Assist with Preventative Maintenance activities, Change Request (CR) deployments, and asset identification.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with automated and robotic equipment to minimise downtime.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture through ownership and governance of Automation Vendor Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Participate in service review calls with vendors, Operations, and internal stakeholders to track performance and action items.
  • Maintain a strong solution‑oriented mindset and demonstrate willingness to go the extra mile to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Perform manual handling tasks safely when supporting equipment setup, movement, or onsite technical work.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in 3PL or logistics in operations and systems
  • Previous knowledge of Automation,
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and decipher OEM materials.
  • Ability to read CAD and other technical drawings.
  • Able to plan and build budget and timelines around Automated implementations
  • Be an analytical thinker, and have the can do attitude
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
