Hours: 8.00 to 16.30 Monday to Friday 1 week of nights every 4 weeks 20.00 to 4.30 On call required on a rotated basis

What You’ll Be Doing

✔ Maintaining company mechanical systems and associated airside equipment to required standards

✔ Conducting weekly inspections on GSE and vehicles (Diesel & Electric), including hydraulic systems

✔ Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs across a wide range of mechanical equipment

✔ Completing planned servicing and inspections in line with maintenance schedules

✔ Reporting, documenting, and resolving defects on GSE and mechanical assets

✔ Accurately completing service sheets and maintenance system records

✔ Working collaboratively with the Engineering Team to deliver high‑quality maintenance

✔ Following technical manuals, electrical schematics, and hydraulic diagrams

✔ Ensuring work complies with all Health & Safety legislation and internal standards

✔ Liaising with colleagues and internal customers to respond to maintenance requests

✔ Supporting mechanical and electrical PPM tasks across the EMA Hub

✔ Responding to call‑outs and carrying out repairs when required

✔ Helping ensure all airside equipment remains fully operational to support 24/7 aviation activity

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• Experience maintaining Airport GSE, plant equipment, forklift trucks, or electric vehicles

• City & Guilds 381/382/383 mechanical qualifications or equivalent

• Strong knowledge of hydraulics and vehicle electrics

• Welding and fabrication experience

• Ability to use Oxy/Acetylene equipment

• Practical “hands‑on” skills with a strong mechanical mindset

• Full UK driving licence (FLT licence desirable)

• Confidence using a range of mechanical power tools

• Excellent awareness of Health & Safety standards and safe working practices
